Queen’s Fight Against Malaria (QFAM) Hosts Two Days of Events to Help Net Villages in Uganda
Organization Raises Money for The Buy-A-Net Malaria Prevention Group

Who: QFAM, Queen¹s University
What: QFAM is organizing a two-day event to help raise money to purchase bed nets for Kawempe, Uganda, through Kingston-based, BUY-A-NET Malaria Prevention Group (BAN).
When: Wednesday, March 11th, 8:00 AM to Thursday, March 12th, 2009, 8:30 PM.
Where: Outdoors, John Deutsch Centre (JDUC), corner University and Union, Queen’s University Campus, and Common Ground, JDUC, Queen’s University Campus.
Specifics:
March 11th 8:00 AM to March 12th, 2:00 PM: QFAM student members will be camping out for 30 hours; one child dies every 30 seconds from Malaria. Come support the cause and BUY-A-NET.

March 11, 2009: BeaverTails from Ottawa will be selling Beaver Tails from 10 AM to 8 PM, corner University and Union, Queen’s Univeristy Campus. Come out and buy delicious beaver tails to help QFAM save lives from malaria.
March 12, 2009, 7:00 P.M. to 8:30 PM: “Our Fight Against Malaria Open Mic Night” will take place at the Common Ground, JDUC, Queen’s University. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about malaria, support the fight, and enjoy musical talent found at Queen’s University. Debra Lefebvre (founder of BUY-A-NET) and other members of the BUY-A-NET team who made a recent trip to Uganda (including several school children) will be speaking.
