With beads made by Ugandan women, students at Truedell Public School created jewelry for sale at the annual Springfest. Students directly tackled poverty and disease in Uganda by supporting employment of Ugandan women who made the beads. Then, with the sale of the jewelry, enabled Buy-a-Net to purchase nets and medicines for needy families in Kawempe District. All the students and friends and family of the school community should be very proud of the positive difference they have made; over $1,500 was raised this year. Thank you to everyone, especially all the jewelry makers, teachers Nancy and Rich, and Principal Linda.
