The nets you have provided to families in Kawempe will protect nearly one thousand people (primarily mothers and their children) from malaria. Buy-a-Net at United Nurses of Alberta (UNA) 34th AGM, Edmonton, AB

Buy-a-Net is very pleased to participate in UNA’s 34th Annual General Meeting, October 25th-27th, at the Northlands Expo Centre in Edmonton, Alberta. The United Nurses of Alberta represents more than 25,000 RNs, RPNs and allied health professionals. Led by Regional Ambassador, Charlotte Bonella, RN, Buy-a-Net will share its poverty reduction and disease prevention program in Uganda with the more than 800 delegates from across Alberta. UNA President Heather Smith encouraged nurses to be agents of change. Endorsed by the Canadian Federation of Nurses Unions, and led by a Canadian nurse, Buy-a-Net welcomed Ms. Smith’s comments.

United Nurses of Alberta: donated OVER $ 9,000 for Buy-A-Net.

Over 1500 bed nets were purchased for Kawempe, Uganda; protecting over 6,000 from malaria!
