The head of the United Nations urged world leaders Friday to better utilize the female population in tackling global challenges, such as food, energy and climate change. Speaking during a panel discussion on economic sustainability on July 15, 2011, during a three day visit to Finland, Ki-moon added that women make up half the world’s population, and their mortality rate is still too high.
